Deck the Halls
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
fa la la la la, la la la la,
…… is how the notable Christmas carol goes.
But unfortunately, the holiday season is not a jolly season for many. For some who have lost a loved one, either through divorce, death, or relocation, the holidays are painful triggers of feelings of loneliness and sadness. Others find themselves having to relate to toxic family members, where dysfunctional patterns and painful wounds exist. And often, people become overwhelmed with the expectations and the financial demands that the holiday season brings.
Seeking guidance from a qualified therapist during this stressful holiday season, can minimize the distress of relating to difficult people, provide structure and guidance as to how to navigate uncomfortable situations, and provide support and healing in your time of loss.
As always, it would be my privilege to help!
